Jenny had a two venue exhibition in Leicester, her home city, entitled “A Painter’s Progress’’ at the New Walk Museum and Art Gallery and at the Attenborough Arts Centre (previously Embrace Arts) at Leicester University.

The exhibition at New Walk Museum featured a body of work made by Jenny in response to paintings in its permanent collection and completed during her 18 month residency there 2008/10.

It included pieces inspired by several different artists including Peter Doig, Harold Gilman, Kathe Kollwitz and Evelyn Williams. The works of the four artists listed were also on show.

The studies and working sketches were on display as if on the wall of her studio , alongside 18 of her finished pieces.

At the Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester University, there was a retrospective exhibition showing her development as an artist over 35 years. Works were borrowed back from public and private collections, including a collection of celebratory cards sent to friends and family over the years.

A film, "A Painter's Progress", was made especially for the exhibition by Alex J. Wright, Jenny’s son.
